Wortham Beta Club

The Wortham Club is a member of the National Beta Club.

It is a leadership-service
organization for high school students.
To be a member, a student must have completed the first semester of their freshman year
and must have an overall average of 88 or more with a previous semester average of 90
or more. To remain eligible as a Beta member, the student must maintain an overall
average of 90 or more beginning with the semester prior to his admittance.

The purpose of the Beta Club is to promote the ideals of honesty, service, and
leadership among high school students, to reward meritorious achievement, and
to encourage and assist students to continue their education after high school.
