There are several historic buildings on campus at Wortham ISD including the "old gym" and the "football field wall." Both of these landmarks were constructed during the late 30s or early 40s and it has been reported that they were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). The first Wortham ISD year book, the Bulldog Round Up, was published in 1941 featuring a photograph of the football team posed proudly against the new gym. The annual year book was dedicated, in part, to citizenship.
