Meet Nurse Rea

For those I haven't had the pleasure of meeting, my name is Reagan Bates, LVN and I am the school nurse for Wortham ISD (Pre•K - 12).

Because good health is essential for optimum growth and achievement, the major roles as the school nurse are to provide health services to students and to stimulate the development of those attitudes and practices which will enable each child to realize his or her fullest potential.

Please, feel free to contact me with any questions/concerns by:

As a parent/caregiver, you play a powerful role in supporting your student’s health and education.  When parents/caregivers become involved in their kid’s school activities, your children not only earn better grades but also choose healthier life choices and improve their social skills.

At the beginning of the school year, please provide the school nurse with up-to-date documentation of your child’s immunizations.  This must include the month, date and year.

During the school year, please notify the school nurse of any changes in Emergency Contact Information, medical/health updates, change of medication, etc.

At the end of the year, all medication (prescribed or OTC) must be picked up before the last day of school.  Any medication not picked up will be properly destroyed since we are unable to store medication over the summer.
