Dear Students,
It is an honor to be the Principal at Wortham High School, and it is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for an amazing 2016-17 school year. It is an exciting time to be a Bulldog, and I am anxious to get everyone back in the classrooms and hallways of WHS. It is my personal mission to make sure each student is welcomed, connected, and proud to be a part of the Bulldog Nation. Additionally, we want to strive to challenge each student to be the best they can be academically and to be a well rounded, productive citizen. WHS wants each student to be college-ready at the end of their senior year, and to pursue a post high school education or a meaningful career. Our teachers and staff at WHS spend endless hours planning and creating classroom lesson and activities to engage our students in learning.
We have our district website, which will allow teachers to build their own web pages for your convenience. We also offer the WHS Facebook page and Twitter page for your convenience as well. I also encourage you to sign up for any Remind accounts sent to you by the teachers. Communication is paramount in any good relationship, please feel free to call me anytime you have any questions or concerns. It is truly a privilege to be a part of a community where parents, teachers, and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and personal growth. Please contact me anytime at (254) 765-3094 or david.hayes@worthamisd.org.
Sincerely,
David Hayes
WHS Principal
