Texas children have access to healthy meals during the summer provided by participating school and community organizations in partnership with the Texas Department of Agriculture. Children 18 and younger and enrolled students with disabilities up to age 21 in low-income areas can eat healthy meals at no cost through the Summer Meal Program. Locations are supervised and welcoming, often offering fun activities with the meal. Families can use these three tools to find nearby meal sites ─ VISIT SummerFood.org, TEXT “Food” or “Comida” to 304-304 or CALL 2-1-1. Registration or ID is not required. Summer Meal Programs are funded by the USDA and brought to you by the Texas Department of Agriculture and Commissioner Sid Miller.

Our cafeteria will be open for lunches next week for all children up to 18 years old. The cafeteria hours next week will be Monday, June 3 through Thursday, June 6 from 11 AM to Noon. Drop by our cafe, say hi, and get a lunch!

Last Day of School Early release at 1:00pm today High School Graduation Friday, May 24th at gym at 8pm

The Art Show scheduled for this evening has been canceled. The gym will be open Friday after school until 5 PM for anyone who wants to view the exhibits and judges' awards.

Due to the heavy rainfall this morning and the potential for severe weather and more rainfall at dismissal time, we encourage parents to pick their students up early from school today to avoid traveling during the severe weather. Thank you for the flexibility in keeping everyone safe.

The Wortham Athletic Sports Banquet is TONIGHT at 6:00 PM in the Bulldog Gym. $10 per guests with no charge for athletes. Dinner will be served at 6 with the award ceremony to follow.

Reminder- The entry fee for the 4:30 Bi-District Baseball game in Riesel is CASH ONLY. $5 for adults, $3 for students. If needed, the entry fee for Game 3 tomorrow in Riesel will be the same.

The students who live in the Currie area who rode a bus will be picked up later than normal due to the rain overnight. Students should expect the bus to arrive 30-45 minutes late this morning.

Due to lack of officials and the potential of severe weather on Thursday, Game 1 of the Bi-District baseball playoffs vs. Itasca will be on Wednesday, May 1st at 5:00 in Itasca. There is no charge for admission to Game 1. Let's go, Bulldogs!
