We want to make our community aware of recent phishing/spam activity occurring in the comments of older posts on our Facebook pages. Some comments are advertising “alumni” mugs, t-shirts, hoodies, and similar items. These posts are not affiliated with Wortham ISD.
In several cases, unknown accounts are tagging local community members in an attempt to make the posts appear legitimate. Please do not click these links or provide any payment or personal information.
If Wortham ISD is hosting an official fundraiser or selling school-related merchandise, it will also be posted and verified through the official Wortham ISD website.
We are actively removing these posts as they are reported or discovered. Thank you for helping us keep our community safe online.

Wortham ISD is pleased to announce that we will begin using the Verkada Guest/Visitor Management System on all campuses. This system will strengthen our campus safety efforts for both students and staff.
The system utilizes an iPad kiosk for self check-in and instant photo badge printing. All visitors will be screened against national sex offender and criminal databases.
Upon arrival, visitors will be asked to present a valid photo ID, such as a driver's license. When leaving the building, visitors must return their badge and sign out at the front office.
Reminder, guests must be escorted to and from their destination.
If you are only dropping off or picking up a child from the office, a visitor badge is not required; however, you will still need to present a photo ID.
We appreciate your cooperation and support as we continue to prioritize the safety of our students and staff.

Good Luck to Little Dribblers at Nationals this week!
Little Dribblers is going to Nationals!
Good Afternoon Bulldogs!!
We are so thrilled about the news of our Little Dribblers heading to Nationals this week! Wortham will be WELL REPRESENTED at the Little Dribblers Nationals on April 15th-16th in Franklin again this year. Our kids and their coaches have worked hard, and now that hard work has paid off in a big way. We are excited for our kids, parents, families, and coaches to have this experience. During the day on April 15th and April 16th, we will have over 100 kids out and several of our staff members are parents of these kids, and they will certainly want to be present to watch their kids play basketball. So with that said, we have modified our Elementary and Middle School calendar to help with the low attendance we will experience on those two days. High School will remain on the same calendar/schedule and will have school on these two days. April 15th and April 16th are now Staff Workdays for our Elementary and Middle School. Students will not have to make these days up, and staff will report to work on these two days as usual. If staff members elect to go watch the basketball games in Franklin, they will need to request the day or days off by submitting an absence from duty form to their principals.
