The Varsity basketball games vs. Axtell will be held on Wednesday, January 17th. The Lady Bulldogs will play at 5 PM, and the Varsity boys will play immediately after.
Due to continued falling precipitation and freezing temperatures today, Wortham ISD will be closed on Tuesday, January 16th. All activities are also postponed and will be rescheduled. We will continue to monitor the weather and will update as needed.

Due to a shortage of officials, all the Junior High basketball games will be in Hubbard beginning at 5:30 today. The girls will start at 5:30, followed by the Boys White team, and then the Boys Blue team will play immediately after.

While Wortham ISD has not received any threats, this morning multiple school districts in Region 12 and across Texas received a bomb threat that appears to have originated from a “bot” email address claiming to be a Russian terrorist organization. Local authorities have determined there is no credible evidence to suggest that a bomb has been planted anywhere on any of the campuses that received the threat, or on any other campus in our region. Affected districts have performed sweeps of their facilities and are coordinating with law enforcement to continue to ensure the safety of students and staff.
We want to make you aware of this situation, in the event that you receive a similar threat. Please contact us with any questions you may have.

JV Boys vs. Cayuga Here at 5:00 PM followed by Varsity Boys
The Varsity Girls vs Italy will play here after the Varsity Boys
Junior High Basketball is tonight beginning at 5:30!
Our boys are at home vs. Riesel, and our Lady Bulldogs are playing in Riesel!
